This song is about the confusion of where to go and what to do with your life once you hit your late teens/early twenties.

Time is personified as an abductor in a white windowless van. He tempts people to come inside for free candy and to help find his lost dog, but people are unsure of what to do. This is a simile for not knowing whether to take risks in life by trusting time, or playing it safe and not doing anything.

I will not say that I'm frightened of the future, it's just that menacing beard that's staring down at me
The kids who play on their technology all day long is the reason why I'm scared for their sanity

The past is catching up with me, and it makes me not want to leave
